Last night's WPT coverage was awesome. The final table had Negreanu, Scotty Nguyen, and Chau Giang. Also, that Mizrachi "Grinder" guy was there. He busted out to Negreanu's one outer on the river (nice). Negreanu is such a champ, that guy is just amazing. He read Scotty Nguyen pefectly the whole time, along with pretty much everyone else. The only player he had trouble against was "The Grinder." Twice he got him all in when Mizrachi had an overpair before the flop. I think he was taking more risks since Giang had such a big chip lead most of the time and Negreanu was trying to win the whole thing. There was one hand where Scotty raised from the button with AT and Negreanu called with KQ. The flop came Q high and they both checked. The turn was a 9 and Negreanu bet out and Scotty raised him immediately. Negreanu thought about it for a little bit, reasoning outloud...he speculated that Nguyen was on a bluff.
Negreanu: "The only clever thing I think to say is..."
Nguyen: "Nice hand?"
Negreanu: "All in."
Anyway, some kid won the whole thing.
